Malaysia announces bioeconomy ambitions

22 November 2011 - Today, Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak officially launched a multiyear program to boost Malaysia's development into a competitive bioeconomy. One of the initiatives is the establishment of the Oil Palm Biomass Center (OPBC). OPBC is an international collaboration of businesses, academia and government institutions to develop the production of high value products from palm oil biomass waste streams.
